There is a quote from Lao Tzu that sits on my desk and I try to apply it as often as I can. “Do you have the patience to wait until you mud settles and the water is clear? Can you remain unmoving until the right action arises by itself? ” Patience has never been my strong suit and I have been trying to slow down and be patient with myself and others. I’m working on a big project right now and I had hoped things would just unfold easily and it would move right along. That’s what happens when you have expectations! There have been delays and unforeseen issues that have come up and I can’t really do anything about it. I can only be responsible for my actions and how I respond to them. So in the meantime I will take a deep breath and just control what I can control.
